We primarily use Autodesk Navisworks Manage. It allows us to combine models from different disciplines (Architecture, Structure, MEP) to identify, report, and manage conflicts effectively.
A "hard clash" is when two objects physically occupy the same space (e.g., a pipe going through a beam). A "soft clash" is when an object violates the clearance zone required for maintenance or safety (e.g., insufficient space in front of an electrical panel). We detect both.
We can do both. Typically, we generate a report for the design team to review. However, if requested, we can work directly in the models to reroute systems and resolve the conflicts ourselves.
